INDIANAPOLIS (January 2, 2006) - To further strengthen its position in the specialty retail channel, Klipsch has introduced three new center channel models in its award-winning Reference Series.

Replacing the Reference Series III lineup, except for the entry-level RC-10, the latest RC-64, RC-62 and RC-52 video-shielded center channels all feature titanium tweeters coupled to new generation square Tractrix® Horns with improved throat geometry, Cerametallic™ aluminum woofers with inverted copper dust caps and powerful motor structures. Exclusive Klipsch Tapered Array™ technology along with Klipsch custom internal wiring provide perfectly balanced sound over the entire listening area. Low-diffraction magnetically attached grilles bring a sleek appearance to the line.

Designed to be one of the most unique and powerful center channels on the market, the RC-64 employs four 6.5-inch high-output woofers and a new 1.25-inch compression driver tweeter for extended high-frequency response. Available in either a cherry or black wood veneer finish, this flagship center channel also features bi-wire inputs with premium binding posts.

The RC-62 employs dual 6.5-inch woofers, twin front-firing ports and a 1-inch tweeter with a nine-ounce ceramic motor structure, while the RC-52 utilizes dual 5.25-inch woofers, twin front-firing ports and a 1-inch tweeter with a neodymium magnet motor structure. The RC-62 is available in a cherry or black woodgrain vinyl finish, while the RC-52 only comes in a black woodgrain vinyl finish.

"The design requirements for a center channel speaker are typically among the most challenging," said Jim Garrett, Klipsch director of product marketing. "The new Reference Series center channels overcome the limitations of conventional designs and deliver a seamless, engaging soundstage."

These models will be sold individually at the following U.S. MSRP pricing: $899 for the RC-64, $449 for the RC-62 and $299 for the RC-52.

Klipsch also introduced 17 other speakers in its Reference Series, including five floorstanding models, three bookshelf speakers, three surround speakers and six powered subwoofers.
